The story behind the painting...

Original Painting presented to U. S. Navy at time of commissioning and now hangs in Miami's wardroom.  

She was built at General Dynamics Corporation, Electric Boat Division, Groton, CT and commissioned on 30 June, 1990.  

Miami's homeport is Groton, CT.  An  688 Class, Miami is 362 ft and has an extreme beam of 33ft.

Miami served in the Arabian Gulf and Adriatic Sea in support of "Desert Fox" and "Allied Force". 



Unfortunately no prints have ever been made of this artwork.
