X1 was a one-off "experimental submarine".  

Built at the Naval Dockyard, Chatham she was commissioned in December 1925.

This large cruiser sub was capable of nearly 19.5 knots when her engines were not broken (her MAN engines proved problematic throughout her entire service period).

X-1 was decommissioned in 1936 and scrapped in 1937.

The Limited Edition prints are all signed and numbered by the artist.
